Round 2 Making Moves in Jeddah

After suffering hydraulics issues, the Rodin driver was unable to put in any representative laps during the Qualifying session, leaving him starting in P15 for both the Sprint and Feature races.

The Sprint race saw Maloney perfectly executing moves to go from P15 to P5.

On Lap 4 of 20, the Safety Car period ended and Zane Maloney, having had a great start from 15th, overtook the Trident of Roman Stanek to take P8.

Maloney was able to gain another place after overtaking Martí in the Campos at the same corner, putting the Rodin into P7.

On Lap 12, the action was back underway with Maloney diving down the inside of Kush Maini for sixth again at Turn 1.

Maloney crossed the line to take P5, later P4 after post-race decisions were made.

The Feature Race saw Maloney eager to duplicate his performance the previous day.

After a chaotic start to the race, Maloney was able to move himself into the points with a straightforward pass on Martins under braking.

Zane was able to recover from P15 to P7,

Maloney leads the way in the Drivers’ Championship, moving onto 47 points at the top.
