Round 1 Rundown: Bahrain
Zane made an impressive start to the Formula 2 season in Sakhir, taking back-to-back race wins, making it his maiden win in the series.
The weekend started with Maloney Qualifying P4. After a penalty was handed to Maini, this found Zane starting the Feature race in P3 and Sprint race in P8.
The Sprint saw Zane take his first ever victory in Formula 2 as he recovered from eighth on the grid to win at the Bahrain International Circuit.
Maloney started the Feature Race P3. A fast start on the Option tyres saw him take the lead from third place on the run down to Turn 1.
After two safety cars, Zane was able to extend his lead to over four and a half seconds to cross the line and take the chequered flag.
